Features 15 miles of hiking trails along the river, as well as fishing and camping sites. Cross-country skiers enjoy              the 64k of groomed and tracked trails. Located between Lutsen and Grand Marais off Hwy 61, mile marker 101.

The park features the Devil’s Kettle Waterfall and Brule River rapids. Hiking, fishing, camping, cross-country skiing and picnicking sites are available here. Off Hwy 61, 14 miles northeast of Grand Marais.

Grand Portage

Day-use only. The park offers hiking, picnicking and a view of the high falls and middle falls. 6 miles northeast of Grand Portage and the US/Canada border.

Isle Royal National Park

This national wilderness area feautres a lodge, campsites and scenic hiking trails in an isolated island setting. No motorized vehicles, or bicycles are allowed on the island. One and two day trips from Grand Portage to Isle Royal are available. Lake Superior, 22 miles east of Grand Portage.

Grand Portage National Monument

Day-use only. The monument features the informative Heritage Center open year round, as well as a re-creation of historic Ojibwe village and Voyageur camp. Enjoy with a guide or on your own. If you are not in an information mood, enjoy a hike on the 1/2 mile up Mount rose for a beautiful view of the surrounding area.

Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness

Located in northeastern Minnesota the BWCAW has million acres of wilderness, with over 1,000 beautiful lakes and streams and over 1,500 miles of canoe routes. The BWCA is a true wilderness experience, without motors, no electricity, telephones or roads to their inner lakes.
